Some of these buildings are up to 800 years old and are surrounded by modern architecture. I tried to crop the new out of these shots. Look out for other views next week.
I've been to Birmingham but not to the Palisades. A lot of places here have ancient and modern sitting side by side. I sometimes wonder what citizens from centuries ago would have thought of glass and steel and concrete structures which are now their neighbours...
