Bell X1 hail from the Emerald Isle and are an established rock act with a small but fanatical following. The Wedgewood Rooms at Southsea was the place to be last night - where else of course!
The Upper Room are a Brighton based 4 piece with beautiful pop melodies.
There is a remote chance I may have posted a very brief review on Music to Grow Old to.

how are you? :)
This looks like it was an exciting night. You captured the high energy in your photos. Thanks!
Mussolini - thank you for enquiring, I'm adjusting to my new less stressful days. That gig last night ended at 11:45pm which would have been a problem had I been requird to wake at the crack of dawn next day :)
Boulies - I took lots but these are the pick. I don't mind the blurring too much it shows the movement.
This looks like it was sooo much fun!
Hey, I finally got to hear the Artic Monkeys! They are wonderful! Thanks to you, I've looked them up. They hit the states a few weeks ago and I was ready.
:)
So, I'll go search out your review of this band on your other blog.
Thanks bro!
Neetee - Arctic Monkeys are pure British rock with a no nonsense "take us or leave us attitude." Raw but intelligent.
Bell X1 are long established warriors on the lower club scene but I only discovered them a year ago. I like that the lyrics are so damn clever and they have great guitar lines and meloidies.
R&E - I have a Gibson Les Paul but yes, Rickenbackers are special too.
SilvermOOn - thank you! I tried to keep that one short and sweet, no point in rambling, we might as well listen to the songs!
remote maybe but bloody good as a mtter of fact.
CJ - these are a quality act whose songs are wry witty statements. They are highly accomplished as musicians and I'm pleased you appreciated it.
Looks like fun.
I see you,
JJ
SilvermOOn - SAS is good! Opera glasses optional.
