Beaulieu

Beaulieu is an ancient village about 8 minutes drive from me. Nice old cottages, ponys and donkeys wandering the streets at will. It looks picturesque but the residents have no privacy at all, their paradise is overrun by tourists all summer long. I picked a weekday evening about 8:30pm to visit with my camera.

And if I were in the UK I would be one of those tourist. How utterly beautiful, quaint, picturesque - I want to live there.

JJ - There are tiny shops selling home-made fudge and chocolate, pottery etc... There's a rather nice garden centre too.

Finn - Beaulieu lives up to its French name doesn't it. I have a Canon Ixus v3 but the focus has been getting soft and these things aren't worth repairing I'm afraid. I want the Canon Ixus 700. A compact little rascal whose operator's manual is ten times its own size! 7mp and 3x optical zoom yet not much bigger than a matchbox (great for the pocket of my leathers!)
