A day in the big city

Took these pics on a recent day out in London. I don't shop there and seldom eat out, I prefer to walk, bus and tube with a camera.

I like your enthusiasm Kimberly, you really love this country. I have hundreds more pictures and will upload them now and again. London is big for touring on foot - you have to take the tube and bob up above ground where the mood takes you.

Walking can be fun though, try Sunday mornings for emptier streets and avoid Oxford Street like the plague (unless you are a committed shopper!) Study a map carefully but still expect everything to be miles further than you thought.

There is interest to be had away from tourists, but go with a friend or someone who knows the city to make sure you see the more unusual sights and take care not to stray into the less salubrious areas.

pv, somehow i think i was born in the wrong body on the wrong continent. i like seeing through your eyes and there is so much to take in where you are.

and flea, i have strange images of your sphincter. this is not good.

Flea - red-blooded hetero-sexual male as if you needed reassuring you young rascal... Any phallic symbols are intended only by the architect - I just shoot what I see!

Transience - ever vistited London? It has amazing contrasts. I love spending a day there with my camera. Have another peek through my eyes in a few days time, I have more ready to upload.

That Flea and his sphincter... Outrageous behaviour!! Teehehe.

Kimberly - Try to blot the nasty words out of your mind. (BTW I think [hope?] he's only joking.) Enjoy your visit later in the year.

Kimberly - no worries, I had you down as broad-minded. A bit of raunchy humour is right up my street too!

Flea - please feel free to cause cafuffles and palavers every day you youbg scamp! You are always welcome to speak at this table, whatever your topic (the more phallic the merrier!)

Kimberly - nearly right with the spelling but who's counting!

Yep, 'Frogs' beaten again I'm glad to say. We whipped them at the Battle of Trafalgar 200 years ago and did it again today!

Enjoy your lunch and to heck with it if you're late back for work!

We are all thankfully fine my friend. I for one will not let this stop me visiting the capital city. I am always cautious to avoid the busiest parts of the working day for obvious reasons. You Kimberly and my other American friends know this pain only too well.

we don't have such beautiful views in this region of the third world. you are lucky to have so much inspiration. people in beautiful places (like you) never have to look hard for it.

Mussolini - you're right, I am lucky but I take nothing for granted though. Perhaps there are good things, different things, for your eyes (and camera) to see but familiarity renders them mundane?
